This bar is loaded with the good stuff for your skin – and none of the bad! It contains ONLY pure Beeswax, Calendula-infused Sweet Almond Oil, Shea Butter, Cocoa Butter, Jojoba Oil, pure Vitamin E Oil and Essential Oils (also available unscented). Our Unscented variety bears the natural light scent of sun-kissed Almonds with just a hint of Honey. Although current US regulations bar us from telling you the specific benefits of our quality ingredients as used, please research these Essential Oils to see how they have been used throughout the ages.

No water necessary with these wonderfully portable dry lotion bars. Simply pick up and rub your lotion bar between your clean palms for a few seconds. Set it down and massage the product into your skin. That's it! You can also rub it directly onto heels, elbows, etc. We suggest you avoid the face area due to the beeswax content of the bars. Repeat as needed.

Awesome for cracked heels and rough elbows too – right out of the shower; dry feet, apply lotion bar, put on socks and leave on overnight. Try it for a few weeks especially if you have chronically dry heels. Lotion bars are a great way to apply JUST the right amount of soothing ingredients for your skin with none of the mess of liquid lotions. Children love them too! In addition to providing a natural formulation for moisturizing, our lotion bars are especially excellent for anyone who washes their hands very frequently and/or has their hands in water for a good portion of their work day (health care workers, dock workers, child care workers, etc.). Due to their natural moisture-retaining properties they are also awesome for those who work in very hot or cold dry climates and those who work outdoors and/or regularly work with harsh chemicals (concrete finishers, archaeologists, weather station operators, etc).
A little information on our quality ingredients:

Natural Beeswax makes an excellent base for any lotion bar. Our local beeswax comes from the Sacramento, CA area. As noted, it is naturally filtered and some small impurities from the hive may occasionally remain in the finished product.

Vitamin E Oil is an enriched source of free-radical fighting antioxidants. It has long been used in many skin care preparations and natural lotions.

Shea Butter is a natural fat from the nuts of the Karite Tree. Shea butter is high in vitamins A, E, and F and antioxidants. It is well-known to be superbly moisturizing for the skin in any climate.

Cocoa butter bears a strong anti-oxidative effect plus it is high in fatty acids which allows it to penetrate deep into the skin to moisturize. It is naturally extremely shelf-stable and also forms a superior natural moisture barrier.

Sweet Almond Oil absorbs to the skin very easily and contains generous amounts of monounsaturated fatty acids, vitamins D and E, Magnesium, Potassium, Zinc, and a number of other vitamins and minerals. We infused this Sweet Almond Oil (slow cold infusion method) with real Calendula Officinalis to boost the skin-loving properties to the max. These bars are excellent even for dry, cracked, or eczema-prone skin.

Jojoba Oil (which is actually a liquid wax; distilled from the seeds of the Jojoba Plant) is a natural emollient with a chemical make-up very similar to the skin's own sebum. This means it absorbs quite easily and can provide moisture in ways some other ingredients can't. This makes it a excellent for not only dryness prevention but also for applying to even the driest or most weathered skin.

MORE ABOUT ESSENTIAL OILS

The Essential Oils in this bar are at skin-safe concentrations. Do not use on lips or areas with very sensitive skin if you are sensitive at all to these oils. Do research the oils for yourself in case you have any medical conditions that cause them to be contra-indicated for your use.
