This ultra-premium formulation is a whipped butter, however, due to the high proportion of quality Shea and Kokum Butters it is more of a “hard” butter until it contacts your skin. Simply use your finger or a small scoop to get some product out of the jar, rub it on your skin and immediately it will turn to a velvety texture as you massage it in.

This body butter is excellent for feet, hands, arms, legs, dry patches of skin . . . even faces if you do not have any sensitivity on your facial skin to any of the ingredients. Always avoid the eye area of course and the lips (unless you test first on a small patch to make sure you are fine on lips). Although it will absorb beautifully any time, it truly shines when applied just after showering, or when applied to the the face/hands/feet just after they have been washed. Doing this helps “lock” in your body's natural moisture with all of the goodness of Kokum, Shea, Olive, Argan, Carrot Seed and Vitamin E!

With this one, a little whipped butter goes a LONG ways. Even if you use it on key areas every day, it doesn't take much butter to get good hydrating coverage. NOW, MEET OUR PREMIUM INGREDIENTS:

Shea Butter is a natural fat from the nuts of the Karite Tree. Shea butter is high in vitamins A, E, F, & antioxidants. The soft, smooth texture and excellent properties for absorption make it the perfect “base” for any whipped body butter. Our premium body butter is, in fact, a full 64 % high-quality naturally-refined (super low odor) Shea Butter!

Kokum Butter is derived from the seeds of Garcinia Indica, a tree native to India. An extremely rich, hydrating butter; it is well-known for being one of the absolute best for helping extremely cracked or dry skin. It is similar to Cocoa Butter in that it has a uniform triglyceride composition. Unlike Cocoa Butter, however, it is non-comedogenic (meaning it is not known to block up pores). This makes it a better choice for preparations for the face or other sensitive skin areas. It has a very light to almost no scent; so it's great for those that don't want that noticeable “chocolatey” scent. It is a “hard” butter at room temeperature that can lend almost a beeswax-like hardness to any recipe (without blocking pores or lending an overly-waxy feel).

Olive Oil goes on rich and smooth; leaving your skin feeling silky and pampered. We use the highest grade organic Extra-Virgin Olive Oil in our body butter. Olive Oil is a natural source of the antioxidants vitamins E and A, which may fight free radicals. The polyphenolic compounds found within Olives are also found in Olive Oil, which may help to reduce oxidative stress.

For this formulation, the Olive Oil was cold-infused (over 6 weeks) with Calendula & Chamomile herbs. Calendula is deeply hydrating and may have some antibaterial properties. Chamomile is excellent for skin with cracks or small wounds, and skin that is reddened/has sun or excessive wind or weather damage.

Carrot Seed Oil is prized for its' qualities in fine skin care preparations. It is extracted from the seeds of the Daucus Carota plant, commonly known as Queen Anne's Lace. Naturally high in antioxidants, it's wonderful for mature or very dry skin and may be good for those who spend a bit of time in the sun.

Vitamin E Oil (naturally sourced): We all know by now about pure Vitamin E oil and its naturally high fat-soluble antioxidant content. Effectiveness of compounds in Vitamin E oil may be enhanced when combined with other antioxidants (as in this formulation). Research possible effects of Vitamin E application as related to natural collagen production. You may begin to notice the effects of Vitamin E oil on your skin after weeks or even a few months of regular use.

Rose & Helichrysum Essential Oils (used in our scented premium body butter): Although we cannot make any health claims, many find just a touch of Rose Essential Oil to be amazing for the mood. Across the ages, many have used it in preparations for wound care and skin health. Rose EO contains some of the compound Eugenol, the same powerhouse compound found in Clove EO; and Citral, necessary for Vitamin A synthesis.

Helichrysum Essential Oil, also known as “Immortelle” or “Life Everlasting,” is one of the STAR PERFORMERS here. Helichrysum EO is truly prized worldwide both for it's aromatherapy uses and numerous skin-loving properties. It gives the formula a bit of an earthy, slightly sharp and almost honey-like scent. Also amazing for mature skin.

Storage note: Please take care not to leave the product in the hot sun or a hot car in summer. While it will still be usable once cooled, it may separate some, and if the jar is not well closed and the car is hot enough you may return to a premium puddle!
