If you are looking for a great hearty soap that gets the cleaning job done AND pampers your skin with Shea Butter, Cocoa Butter, Calendula and Avocado Oil – look no further! These soaps are rugged enough to earn the name “rustic” yet kind enough to your skin to deserve a spot in our winner's circle. They are great for heavy jobs like gardener's hands, mechanic's hands, rough feet or elbows etc. with THREE natural exfoliants including finely ground (cosmetic grade) Pumice stone, finely crushed Walnut Hull, and finely ground organic Oats. The deep natural colors in the bar come from raw Cacao Powder, Nettle Leaf, Annato, and a dash of organic Titanium Dioxide. The fragrance used also tints the bars to a fine shade of light tan. In ADDITION to the skin-loving Avocado Oil and Shea & Cocoa Butters in these bars, we bumped it up even more by using Calendula-infused organic Olive Oil for half of the Olive Oil in the batch (these bars are a whopping 30% organic Olive Oil total).

The Rustic Woods & Rum scent in these bars is deep and smoky, even a little alluring. We are listing them as Men's soaps but we know a lot of ladies (Heart's Path Designs owner included!) who go a little crazy over this scent too – The fragrance designer describes this one as starting with notes of Hay, Sandalwood & Cinnamon; brightened with White Citrus & Ginger, then layered by Rum, Birch & Tobacco. These soaps brighten up any décor and also make great gifts for the outdoors enthusiast or gardener in your life. Some like to keep a bar in their tackle box or hunting cabin.

This bar produces a nice robust lather with use and is highly cleansing to help get all the grease and grime off hard-working hands. Due to its' high cleansing ability and high level of natural exfoliants, it will not be the best bar for a facial soap (or for other very sensitive skin areas) nor for those who have naturally extremely dry or sensitive skin.

Please remember that all natural botanicals WILL change in color over time. Soap was photographed at approximately 4 weeks of cure time, therefore fully cured bars may have a slightly different or lighter color to them than what you see here. This soap is made using the time-honored Cold Process method. As a completely handmade item, there will naturally be some variations from batch to batch.

We recommend that you perform a patch test prior to using any new bath & body product. Our ingredients include (but are not limited to) natural botanicals, exfoliants (Ex: walnut hull, poppy seeds) , butters and oils, and essential and fragrance oils. It is possible for people to be sensitive to something as common as Palm oil and not be aware of it (especially if you have been using commercial soaps which are mostly detergents and surfectants), so please use all due caution.

Each bar of soap is lovingly made in small batches by hand with careful attention to detail and quality ingredients by Heart's Path Designs creator Lisa Jenkins.

Packaging: Your handmade creation will arrive with a cardstock “cigar band” style label with the soap name and full ingredients listed. In keeping with a greener business model we work to avoid waste in packaging wherever possible and to use the fewest plastic products possible.
